Forecasts predict overcast skies and rain. This may be a good thing and a bad thing for the Bears. The rain should force both teams to rely on their rushing attacks. Normally, this would be great news. But with the loss of Jahvid Best, I'm not so sure. Shane Vereen is a more than capable replacement, I am just a little uneasy. ASU would have to rely on its questionable offensive line to create a powerful running game, a good thing for Cal. Also, this could take some pressure off of Cal's somewhat stale passing game, and limit opportunities for Rudy Carpenter to have an impact.
This is a very important game in the Pac-10. With no team undefeated, the conference title is up for grabs.
